Wow. There's a lot happening around the web in skateboarding today:
Click over to the newly redesigned Skateboard Mag site for The Mag Minute, a sweet new Danozone edit featuring Philip "Pip" Meranto.
SouthOfTheNorth.com has the goods on the Nike Tre A.D., a high tech skate shoe that uses some of the same concepts as the Nike Free (those crazy kicks that supposedly replicate barefoot running).
Thrasher is up with a new Danny Fuenzalida interview, and heading down under for Slaughter at the Opera in Sydney, Australia this weekend. The Globe team got there early (must be fans of The Wire) so Matt Mumford, Paul Machnau, Chris Haslam, and Bill Weiss could get the jump, and Thrasher's P-Stone has the wiretap up.
Slap Magazine has a new issue out with Shuriken Shannon on the cover – dude is all over the place! – and also recently overhauled the online presence. Click over to check out the One In A Million video series.
Shuriken Shannon is feeling the love from Transworld Skateboarding this week, too: Check out his solid music pick as reviewer of the month. You probably won't be surprised when you discover he went with the new Del the Funky Homosapien disc.
And, going with the theme, check out part 2 of skatebook.tv's loopy interview with Shuriken Shannon and Clyde Singleton.
SkateAndAnnoy looks back with full scans of a circa 1985 skate zine from the Kilwag collection, featuring Mark Gonzales, Bill Danforth, Steve Caballero, Neil Blender, and more.
411vm is up with a trailer for Love Affair, including footage of a tough-talking cop with way more class than that dude in Baltimore. 411 also has its edits from the Bowl-A-Rama Masters contest in Bondi Beach (the entire skate industry seems to have relocated to Australia to wait out the winter). And wait, there's more! 411 has the scoop on the new Jet Set Book from jetsetters Chris Pastras and Jason Lee.
And perhaps most importantly... this is supposed to drop today, right here at BNQT.com. Stay tuned:
