Here's a bummer: There were three local skaters in the mix today for Prelims at the Panasonic Open in Baltimore – I was rooting for Mathieu "Gumbie" Therres, and Rodney Jones and Danny Corrigan were out there too – but none of them made the cut for Finals.
Here's the good news: BNQT favorites Chaz Ortiz and Chris Mendes both made the Finals cut as Dew Tour rookies.
All in all a good contest today on a Park course designed for both skateboarding and BMX (and thus kind of tricky for both). Top 9 from today will join Ryan Sheckler, Greg Lutzka, and Rodolfo Ramos in Finals on Saturday:
1. Austen Seaholm, 87.75
2. Paul Rodriguez, 84.00
3. Chaz Ortiz, 82.50
4. Chad Bartie, 80.75
5. Carlos De Andrade,80.50
6. Wagner Ramos, 79.75
7. Chris Mendes, 79.00
8. Ricardo Oliveira, 78.00
9. Michell Simonetto, 77.75
